We are delighted to welcome Jessica Elliott Dennison back to the bookshop for a delicious event celebrating new recipes from her latest books, Midweek Recipes. There will also be samples made by Jess for you to try!

About the book

Jess is an Edinburgh-based food writer and the founder of Elliott's; a community that celebrates simple cooking and life in the kitchen. Following the success of her first 3 cookbooks; Salad Feasts, Tin Can Magic and Lazy Baking, Jess's newest title Midweek Recipes has you covered for delicious cooking Monday through to Friday, with recipes for everything from crispy-edged kimchi and Cheddar fritters to the easiest lemon-cream linguine; the fluffiest flatbreads and a comforting self-saucing chocolate pudding to flop onto the sofa with.

Chapters include: Go-To Ingredients, My Style of Cooking and Eating, Good Things on Toast, Pasta, Flatbreads, Curry and Curry Pie, Beans and Lentils, Kimchi Fritters, Rice and Noodles, Soups, Meat and Fish, Puddings.

Midweek Recipes is the first in a new series published independently by Elliott's. Jess has written, tested, photographed and published this book from her Studio; a beautiful green-fronted tenement building on Sciennes Road.

Each copy of Midweek Recipes includes an Elliott's bookmark and mini print stamped with the copy's individual number in the print run. It's being printed by a small family business in Wales.
