Inspired by the letters of Robert Louis Sevenson, The Absent Heart explores Stevenson's relationship with his early muse, the beautiful and cultured Frances Sitwell. Was she his muse or his mistress? Ali will be joined by Jane Anderson to discuss the interplay of fact and fiction in a novel based on a true story.
