An exciting launch party for a timely and entertaining guide to the sharing economy.
Eleanor Tucker, a debut author who lives in Edinburgh, joins us to talk about her new guidebook-meets-memoir Thanks for Sharing, which has been described as ‘a joy bringer’ and ‘hilarious and brilliantly topical’.
In the book, Eleanor sets out to buy as few new things as possible with the help of various sharing apps and websites, from food and clothes to cars, furniture and even the space around us. Find out what works and what doesn’t, what’s weird and what’s fun, and if a ‘normal’ busy person can persuade her (often reluctant) family – and herself – to change habits and switch to a new way of consuming. Written with warm and relatable humour as well as a deeply-researched knowledge, this fascinating, funny and timely book adventure is packed full of ideas on how to join the sharing revolution and could truly change your life.
Come along and join Eleanor who will be signing books at the historic Edinburgh Printmakers, and meet some of the founders of the sharing apps she uses in her book, too.
