Dion Leonard and our favourite four-legged friend Gobi will join us for an evening to celebrate the release of his new book, Lara the Runaway Cat, in paperback. All ages and species are welcome and proceeds will go to Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.
Dion Leonard is an Australian/British ultramarathon runner who currently lives in Chamonix, France. He started running in 2013 and has already achieved numerous top 10 finishes (including wins) in ultra races around the world in the most extreme conditions. Finding Gobi is the miraculous tale of how Dion crossed paths with a stray dog while competing in a 155-mile race through the Gobi Desert in China.
Lara the Runaway Cat tells the story of Gobi's mischievous cat sister, who runs away from her family, seeking a courageous adventure and different life. Travelling from Edinburgh to France, Beijing to Australia, she is faced with challenges that will change her life forever.
