Join us for an evening filled with poetry with three of Edinburgh's most exciting emerging voices - Elspeth Wilson, Catherine Wilson Garry and Allie Kerper - as they perform some of their work.

About the Poets

Elspeth Wilson is a writer and poet who is interested in exploring the limitations and possibilities of the body through writing, as well as writing about joy and happiness from a marginalised perspective. Her pamphlet, Too Hot to Sleep, is published by Bent Key publishing and her debut novel, These Mortal Bodies, is forthcoming with Simon and Schuster in 2025.

Catherine Wilson Garry is a Scottish spoken word poet and writer based in Edinburgh. She has been commissioned for both page and stage by organisations including StAnza Poetry Festival, the British National Gallery, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland. Her debut pamphlet Another Word for Home is Blackbird was published by Stewed Rhubarb Press in 2023.

Allie Kerper is an Edinburgh-based poet from the US. Her debut collection, Pale Hairs Reach Between Us, was published in 2021 with Blue Diode Press. Her poems have also appeared in Gutter, Wet Grain, SPAM, Neon and many others. Outside of poetry, she edits university learning materials and dabbles in music making.
